Dr. Sonya Wasik

Senior Veterinarian

Sonya is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (Dipl. ECVS) and a registered specialist in small animal surgery.

A graduate of the University of Queensland (2003), Sonya completed an internship at the University of Melbourne before undertaking a surgical residency at the University of Sydney. Since becoming an ECVS Diplomate in 2016, she has worked predominantly in specialist referral practice in Melbourne’s south-east but is looking forward to seeing cases in Brisbane from late May 2026.

Sonya’s practice focuses on spinal surgery, the management of cruciate ligament disease, complex fracture repair, joint stabilisation and revision procedures. She has extensive experience in orthopaedic and spinal surgery and is known for her meticulous approach, clear communication, and focus on achieving optimal functional outcomes for her patients.
